So I hear talk in the church once in a while about what can be done to maximize the worship experience for those who attend. While I understand the reasons for and behind the conversation, something about it has always left me feeling a little unsettled.
As someone who spent quite a bit of time on worship teams in both small and large environments, I saw the occasionally positive but often negative effects (on both the musicians and the congregation) of this conversation first hand. In fact in my case it was what eventually drove me out the door from one team.
While I know context and culture all have a certain relevance, I just can't help but think the answer to the question is found somewhere in this video.
